Haifa Wahbi fights cancer

As part of the cancer awareness campaign, Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi has placed her photograph among thirty famous people in a new book, which she personally autographed during a press conference. The book is titled Breast Friends and is disbursed around bookstores worldwide.

The proceeds of the book sales will go directly to different charities that help fight cancer.

Haifa stated that it is extremely important that women are aware of the consequences of having breast cancer and should always be on the alert.

Haifa is placing the final touches on her upcoming album, but has yet to choose a new production company, suggesting she may produce the album on her own.

Despite the numerous offers she received after she ended her contract with ‘Rotana,’ the singer has not expressed any interest in a particular company.

It is expected the new album will be titled “Khalini Ma’ak” (Leave me with you), on which she cooperated with a number of prominent composers from Lebanon and Egypt.

The album will feature at least two songs for children.

Haifa has filmed a special episode for the program “Malakat” aired on the Egyptian satellite channel “Hya Al Mara’a Al Arabia” (Hya the Arab Woman), a channel geared toward Arab women.

The episode will be screened in two parts, the first under the title “Haifa the Queen” and the second “Haifa the Star.” Haifa talks about the most significant moments of her career and her personal life.

The episode was filmed with journalist Sawsan Al Said, and on the program Haifa clarifies her relationship with south Lebanon, where she is from.

Haifa also performs a number of her most popular hits, in addition to the song “Mish Ader Astana” (I Can’t Wait) from her latest album, presenting it as a gift to the station.
