Rakhi Sawant '

Big Boss.

Tamer has announced that he considers Amr to be his role model and looks to him for advice on how to go about his life.

Amr had sent Tamer a gift, which consisted of religious tapes and books, right after he was released from prison. Since Tamer received the gift he has refrained from his usual night life, and is doing all he can to help those in need. In addition, Tamer appeared in his most recent music video without a model, which was his usual style.

Tamer has also taped all of Amr's shows, and was overwhelmed with joy when the latter told him he admired his voice and was very impressed with his talent. Amr also told Tamer that he hopes that Tamer's fans would imitate him in his quest to become closer to God and stay away from commiting sin.

The accident occured due to a mob of fans that stormed after the singer while he was being honored by the Egyptian newspaper 'Al Moujiz'.

As the mob crowded in, the singer almost fell on the ground leading his brother Hussam to push him immediately away along with his friend Shamel to the elevator. Six of the mob were able to catch the singer and follow him into the elevator that only fits three people leading it to stumble to the ground level floor.

No serious injuries were reported except a slight cut on Tamer's hand.

Hussein Fahmi mesmerized by Haifa Wahbi's femininity

Prominent Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmi has denied circulating rumors that he has received an offer to star in a new film alongside Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi. The actor added that no one had even suggested such a proposal.

The actor made his comments during a conference he held at the Alexandria library in Egypt, and during the conference he stated that he admires Haifa's femininity, but refused to discuss her capability of acting in a film.

On a diffferent note, after Hussein's refusal to accept another offer to star in the television drama "Imarit Ya'koubain" (Ya'koubain's Building), he went back on his decision and began to negotiate with the producing compnay.

Hussein went back on his word after director Rabab Hussein backed out of directing the drama. Writer of the drama Atef Bashai stated that Hussein was very impressed with the role he was offered, which is the role of Zaki Al Dasouki.

Atef said that Hussein liked the role because Zaki's character is very much like his.

Recently, Fahmi submitted his resignation as United Nations Goodwill Ambassador in protest of the UN's inaction to halt the recent Israeli aggression against innocent civilians in Lebanon, and the recent heart wrenching Qana bombings that killed over 60 civilians, mostly women and children.

In an official press release Hussein said, "I cannot carry on as a Goodwill Ambassador to an institution that is incapable of making any difference in a country that is under siege," as a result of Israeli strikes.

The actor said, "As an Arab artist, it is inappropriate to hold such a position at this time."

"If a small nation cannot seek the assistance of the UN, who can they turn to?," questioned Hussein. He also said the UN mistakenly characterizes the Israeli aggression as "self-defense."

A few months ago an Egyptian court sentenced Hussein to six months in prison, and a fine of 500 Egyptian pounds for swearing at two police officers. Two officers stopped Hussein's vehicle on a Cairo street, and when the officers tried to question Hussein, he began swearing at them.

Hussein paid the fine and has appealed the verdict, hoping to avoid serving the jail sentence.

Hussein's latest television drama, “Muwatin Bi Rutbit Wazeer” (A Citizen with the Rank of a Minister), was written by Yasr Al Siawi and directed by Adel Al Asser. Hussein plays a duel role in the drama of twin brothers who are complete opposites, one honest and the other corrupt.
